I stood at the edge of a saltwater marsh.
Beyond my easel danced a vast panorama of life that begged to play
across my canvas.
Such colors only God can imagine challenged my humble palette and
roused my brush
to touch the splendor of His greatness. Of such wonder
is why artists are compiled to paint, poets to pen and composers to
exalt the creator
of all things wondrous. With humility I stretched my worn brush across
the waiting canvas
in a vein attempt to touch the infinite.
These are a series of land, bay and riverscapes made in the shade or
along the shore
within the Barry Barnett Collection.
